Floor Lamps
The floor lamp, sometimes known as a Standard lamp, is a movable light on a stand. The height may be anything from around three feet up to about seven foot tall.
A floor lamp will come with a plug and cable so it can be moved around though it is rare to move them about. The portability of floor lamps does mean you can change the layout of your room and move the standing lamp to a more suitable position.
You can buy floor lamps made from a wide variety of materials from wood to steel, aluminium and even plastic and glass. The prices vary as much as the materials used and you can purchase a cheap floor lamp for a few dollars or spend thousands on custom designed floor-lamps made by an artistic craftsman.
